Welcome to the Grokem community: how to ask a question that gets answered

grokem_teamRegular0 views

Welcome, and thank you for being here early.

This is a place to ask the questions the articles do not answer. A few habits make a question easy to answer:

  • Say what you are trying to do, not only what is not working.
  • Show what you tried and the exact error text or the exact wrong result.
  • Give a small example: a few rows of data, the table definition, ten lines of code.
  • Name your tools and versions (SQLite or PostgreSQL, Python 3.11, GA4).
  • Leave out secrets and real customer data.

When an answer solves it, mark it as the accepted answer so the next person finds it quickly. If you spot a mistake in an article, tell us here or in the comments and we will correct it and say so on the page.

What exactly is collected, and why

Grokem’s own counts

Collects
The pages you open and how long you stay, how far you scroll, where you came from, your device type, browser, screen size, language and time zone. Your IP address is turned into a code that changes every day; it is never stored as it is.
Why
To see how long lessons are read and where readers leave. Not shared with anyone.
Stored
A random visitor ID, a visit ID and the time of your last page view in your browser’s storage (gr_vid, gr_sid, gr_last). No name or email is attached.
